About
iaMHer is the solo act of singer-songwriter Sophie Her. iaMHer creates a blend of acoustic and electric guitar music with backing tracks of quirky electronic sounds; think Ani DiFranco, and PJ Harvey mixed with a little Björk or Grimes.
Based in Austin, TX for many years, iaMHer has brought music to various venues, stages, and cafés. In June of 2020, iaMHer released Me & You an EP of songs centered around post-breakup grief as their first officially distributed release. Shortly after that, she lost her father, and the songs transformed their meanings to Her.
iaMHer performed Ghost with VIBE an Austin, TX performing arts company as a Special Guest in their inaugural show Awakening in October 2020.
Ghost, the upcoming single by iaMHer is a story describing the effects of becoming lost after hiding one’s true self. To be released in February 2022.
